How Ashwood Property Care went from Invisible to Ranking at the Top of Local Search

The Business

Ashwood Property Care is a full-service outdoor living and property maintenance company serving New Milford and surrounding Connecticut towns. Owner Peter runs a 15-person crew providing landscaping, snow and ice removal, outdoor kitchens, and masonry services. It's the kind of operation built on quality work and word of mouth, but visibility online was a different story.

The Problem

Peter knew his company was doing good work in towns like Brookfield and Ridgefield. He just couldn't get found there.

"That was my original pet peeve, we do so much business in Brookfield, and yet we don't rank anywhere when we get Googled. That's so frustrating."

Like a lot of established contractors, Ashwood had an online presence, but not an active one. Their website existed. Their Google Business Profile existed. Neither was working hard enough to show up when buyers were searching.

The Work

Pool & Patio Digital took over active management of Ashwood's website and Google Business Profile, optimizing their local search positioning, building out service and location pages, managing weekly GBP posts, and making sure the right towns and services were consistently represented online.

The goal wasn't more traffic. It was the right traffic, from buyers already searching for exactly what Ashwood does.

The Result

When a major winter storm hit the New Milford area, homeowners started searching for emergency plowing help. Ashwood showed up.

"The plowing people were Googling who to call. We come right up at the front. We actually rank really high, at the top, unless it's a paid sponsor."

Those rankings turned into real calls, and real customers.

"We probably secured a new account from it."

Peter now checks the GBP regularly, sees the posts going out, and watches the visibility build month over month. He reached out in February — mid-winter, busiest time of year — not with a complaint, but to say thank you.

"What you've done has been invaluable at this point."

Meanwhile, the business keeps growing. Ashwood has seen double-digit revenue growth three years running. The team has expanded to 15 crew members. Two new trucks joined the fleet this winter, with a third on the way.
